Property code: OC-W145

This spacious three-bedroom townhouse is a cosy bolthole and perfect for groups of six wanting to recharge away from everyday life. Period features, combined with contemporary decor, make this property an idyllic retreat with all the homely comforts needed for a stress-free holiday.

Drop your bags down at the quaint entrance lobby and wander into the modern lounge, where the whole group will be inclined to kick back and relax after a day of swimming at the beach. The modern kitchen is kitted out with everything you'll need for dining in, including plenty of space for many hands to make light work. You'll also find a farmhouse-style table and chairs for everyone to convene at mealtimes. On the first floor, you will find two of the three unique bedrooms alongside a family bathroom, offering lots of room to freshen up at the end of the day. The second floor solely houses the final bedroom. Outside, enjoy your morning hit of caffeine on the courtyard patio, or catch a spectacular sunset with a glass of wine and your camera. If your two furry friends were invited on the journey, then this enclosed space is ideal for morning stretches and afternoon snoozing.

With the attractions, restaurants and beaches of the Yorkshire coast on your doorstep, you'll be spoiled for choice and stuck with what to choose first. Walk the 0.5-mile pathway down to Whitby West Cliff Beach for days spent swimming, building sandcastles and devouring ice creams. The cobbled streets and historical yards provide a zigzag of places to explore, with antique shops, independent boutiques and cafes peppering the way. To get a better view of the town and the shoreline, climb the 199 steps up to Whitby Abbey (1 mile) or hop on board the Cleveland Trail, which runs alongside the clifftops of Whitby and provides magnificent views out to sea.

This is a fantastic house, perfect for a family holiday. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and really comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals and theres a good tv with netflix which kept the teenagers happy. The wifi is pretty decent too. The location is perfect. Its a short walk into town (uphill on the way back as the hoRead moreuse is on the cliff!) and Bothams bakery is literally a couple of minutes walk away. We could get down on the beach very easily, just a short walk. We enjoyed using the beach hut for changing and making post-swim cuppas. We hope to come back! Hide

Excellent property, ideally situated for Whitby town. Our dogs made good use of the walled yard to the rear of the property. We have previously stayed in Whitby and understand the parking issues. With allocated private parking at the rear of the property there were no issues or problems. A very comfortable and well equipped house which we thoroughRead morely enjoyed staying in. We would certainly recommend as a place to stay. In the warmer months a beach hut associated with the property is certainly a big bonus. Hide

We had a lovely stay at 5 West Terrace, the beds were sooooo comfortable. The location and parking is fantastic, and the heating was easy to turn up. We did have a problem with one of the windows which opened due to high winds, but the owner rectified this swiftly, which gave us a great end to the holiday.
