Located on the top two floors of a prestigious late-Victorian building, this light and spacious seaside escape would suit one or two couples, friends or a family keen to explore the attractions of Whitby and beyond. Located in the popular West Cliff area of Whitby, it’s less than 350 metres from the sandy beach, great for a paddle, a romantic stroll or a relaxing few hours in a deckchair. Stroll around the bustling harbour and through the town’s historic streets to find independent boutiques, pubs and a wide range of cafes, takeaways and fine-dining restaurants – with seafood often a speciality, of course. Iconic Whitby Abbey is a must-see (2 miles from your door), for breathtaking views once you’ve climbed its 199 steps. For a change of scene, Falling Foss, a dramatic 30’ waterfall surrounded by woodland, is just 6 miles away.
Take the lift or stairs up to the fourth floor of the grand building, and stroll into the welcoming apartment. Kick off your shoes in the hall and head straight into the lounge/diner, where you’ll immediately be drawn to the incredible views through the windows. There’s a dining table for four, and comfortable seating gathered round a Smart TV, ready for relaxing evenings after days in the sea air. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary for holiday cooking, including a microwave and a slimline dishwasher, and has plenty of cupboard and worktop space too, so gourmet chefs can really spread out. Also on this level is a double bedroom, as well as a bathroom which offers the choice of a bath and a shower cubicle. Internal stairs lead up to the second floor, where you’ll find another restful double bedroom with far-reaching views to wake up to.
Although this property has no dedicated outside space, you’ll have the promenade and beach within metres of the front door. Scratchcards for on-street parking are provided for one car for the duration of your stay.
