A stone-built cottage situated in a quiet hamlet in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, this charming retreat sleeps up to four guests and offers the perfect base for couples and small families planning national park adventures together. Keen walkers and outdoor explorers will find a wealth of rural trails that lead to picturesque local waterfalls, including Cotter Force and Hardraw Force (both within 2 miles). Wildlife enthusiasts can join the Snaizeholme Red Squirrel Trail just 3.5 miles away. Closer to home, the historic town of Hawes (1 mile) offers a range of welcoming shops and pubs, as well as the famous Wensleydale Creamery. Uncover the Dales’ history with a visit to Castle Bolton (13 miles) before continuing on to the market town of Leyburn (17.5 miles), where more castles and waterfalls await. Further afield, the Lake District and the North Pennines can both be reached within 25 miles.

Step into this welcoming cottage and be greeted by the lounge/diner, where exposed beams, stone walls and an inglenook fireplace combine to create a cosy room for relaxation between day trips. Sink into the sofas, fire up the wood burner, and find your favourite films on the Smart TV. A wooden dining table sits in one corner of the room, while a doorway leads through to the sleek kitchen, where you’ll find everything needed for cooking up holiday meals. Up the cottage stairs await two restful bedrooms: a double room and a flexible super-king-size bedroom that can convert to a twin room on request. Serving the bedrooms and completing the home is a bathroom with a bath, shower attachment and WC.

Step outside and find a petite private patio where outdoor seating invites quiet morning coffees and evening tipples. Off-road parking for one car completes the picture, making your arrival and day trips easy.
