Property code: OC-77800

This delightful cottage nestled amongst the country lanes of the Yorkshire village of Stainforth is bursting with charm and style making it the ideal romantic retreat for couples. Its location in Ribblesdale on the south-eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park means you’re also close to the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, allowing you to appreciate the scenery, flora and fauna in both of these beautiful areas. When it comes to getting out and enjoying the fresh, country air, you’ll be spoilt for choice, as there are plenty of walking and cycling routes/trails on your doorstep and beyond. Just half a mile from the village, is the wonderful Stainforth Force, which is popular with visitors; in autumn, you might even be lucky enough to see leaping salmon. This cosy cottage allows you to immerse yourselves in the rural tranquillity, it is also conveniently located only 3 miles from the lively market town of Settle with its range of independent shops and eateries and a wealth of heritage.

A traditional stone cottage, this property blends in beautifully with its rural surroundings. It’s as pretty on the outside as it is on the inside, where it’s been sympathetically restored with high quality contemporary cottage décor with careful attention to detail. Light walls and French country chic furniture make it feel bright and sophisticated, whilst vibrant pops of colour add warmth and character.

Stepping through the front door, you’ll find yourself in the spacious kitchen which has original beams, a traditional Belfast sink and gorgeous cabinets, as well as all the mod-cons you’ll need. From here, head through into the bright lounge/diner and be impressed by the statement sofa; the perfect place to settle down for the evening in front of the wood burner in its original fireplace.

On the first floor, there is one king-size bedroom, which is elegantly decorated to create a welcoming and restful atmosphere. Across the landing is the equally as elegant bathroom, which is very spacious and has a freestanding roll-top bath and a separate shower.

French doors in the kitchen lead down a couple of steps to the idyllic courtyard where you can relax on the recliner and admire the charming shrubs and plants or dine at the table and chairs. The sound of the babbling brook can be heard in the background. There is off road parking for one car and lockable storage for bikes.

This cottage is a dream! The decor and coziness is perfect. A comfortable haven for exploring North Yorkshire. The cottage is attached to a main house which could do with its own entrance but we would definitely return and recommend. The sound of the stream past the back garden is wonderful.

Lovely cottage in an amazing location. Hiking straight from the door was excellent and the local pub was great. I would also recommend Elaine's Cafe in Feizor, its a lovely walk and the food is excellent!

Beautiful cottage in a wonderful location on the village green close to many lovely places to visit in the Dales. Very well equipped for self catering. The owners were easy to contact a few days before check in to answer any questions and for recommendations. We hope to return for a Summer break at Underbargh Cottage.

This cottage is superbe: very pretty and very cosy. Its little garden situated next to a stream is wonderful to sit in and relax. But there is not much light coming into the ground floor (kitchen and living room). But the lamps in the rooms make them bright all the same. The bedroom on the first floor is fantastic and there is a lot of light. You cRead morean go on lovely walks directly from the cottage. There is also a nice pub with a very friendly owner in the village of Stainforth. Hide
