Wake up to the smell of sea air in this gorgeous coastal apartment in Whitby. The couples’ retreat, or base for a small family, boasts a prime position, with the town’s main beach just 300 metres away. You’ll also be surrounded by a fantastic array of shops and eateries, and Whitby’s bustling harbour is 0.5 miles from the property. Enjoy day trips to Robin Hood’s Bay, Scarborough, and the North York Moors National Park (all within 20 miles).

A short flight of stairs leads to the shared entrance hall, and from here you can take the lift or stairs to the second-floor apartment. Set inside a period townhouse, the elegant apartment has been tastefully furnished and is decorated in calming, neutral tones. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is flooded with light and has partial sea views from the large bay window. Spend time here rustling up delicious meals using local ingredients, dining together, or simply relaxing on the comfortable seating. There are two beautiful king-size bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom. A stylish family bathroom completes the accommodation. There is no outside space, but with the beach just a short distance away, you’ll have ample opportunities to stretch your legs and fill your lungs with sea air.

The apartment is located in the West Cliff area of Whitby, with the family-friendly, sandy beach just 300 metres away ideal for dog walks. The beach boasts 2 miles of golden sand, meaning it’s easy to escape the crowds even in the height of summer, and is backed by beach huts that can be hired for the full seaside experience. There are some great family attractions nearby, including Whitby Museum and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (both within 0.5 miles). Heading inland, you’ll soon reach the North York Moors (2 miles), with its plethora of walking routes.

Suited for dog-owners because of the lift and the green near the apartment. Interesting view of the sea. Easy parking with the permit.

This was our 5th stay at the apartment which says it all; great location and well furnished and equipped. Plenty or eating establishments in walking distance and easy access to beach and promenade strolls.

Excellent apartment in an excellent location. The parking permit was brilliant and the parking so convenient. It was nice to be able to leave the car for a couple of days to do local walks. Enjoyed the walk to Sandsend as well as to Whitby and the Abbey. The apartment was very well appointed and everything that you could need. Clear instructioRead morens, easy to find keys and permit. Lots of beautiful places surrounding Whitby to explore and very dog friendly. We fell in love with Whitby and plan to return. Hide
