Set at the heart of Leyburn, this welcoming holiday home places friends or family right on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, making it an excellent base for exploring one of the UK’s most celebrated landscapes. This former vicarage, built from traditional Yorkshire stone, makes an immediate impression, with generous proportions and carefully considered interiors throughout.

Inside, a large entrance hall leads to the main living areas, including a contemporary kitchen with a central island and integrated appliances. A separate utility room houses laundry facilities for added convenience. The dining room sits at the centre of the home, with a long table seating up to 12 guests and a wood burner adding warmth on cooler evenings. The main lounge looks out across the Dales, furnished with comfortable seating and a Smart TV, while a second wood burner enhances the atmosphere on winter nights. A dedicated games room brings a more playful element, with pool, air hockey and table tennis, alongside additional seating and an open fire for more informal gatherings. Accommodation is spread across two floors, beginning with a ground-floor super king bedroom next to a compact shower room. Upstairs, five further bedrooms each have their own en-suite bathrooms, offering a high level of privacy for larger groups. Bedrooms are individually styled, with a mix of super king zip-and-link, king-size, and twin layouts, all including storage and Smart TVs. To the rear, a courtyard provides an outdoor seating area for morning coffee or evening drinks. Private parking is available for at least four cars.

Nearby highlights include Harmby and Wensley Waterfalls (both 1 mile), while the dramatic cascades at Aysgarth Falls are 7.5 miles away. Hawes is within easy reach too (16 miles), home to the famous Wensleydale Creamery, where visitors can tour the site, sample local produce, and take home a taste of the region, alongside attractions such as the Dales Countryside Museum and access to the Pennine Way.

We enjoyed a lovely long weekend in this beautiful, old, comfortable property, which has been tastefully decorated and renovated and is extremely well equipped. There are plenty of shops, pubs, eating places, etc within easy walking distance. Some great walks of all levels from the doorstep and lots of helpful books in the games room. We managed toRead more get all our 6 cars on the rear car park, but there is some additional parking at the front. Would certainly recommend. Hide
