Discover the natural beauty of verdant Wensleydale when you stay at this cottage in Healey, near Masham. Sleeping six guests, and welcoming one dog, the three-bedroom cottage offers stylish, single-storey accommodation that is ideal for a family or group of friends. Set beside a Grade II-listed corn mill, which is home to the owners, the cottage benefits from a private garden, as well as access to picturesque, wider grounds.

Let yourselves into the retreat via the sliding patio doors into the lounge. This great expanse not only pulls the views of Colsterdale right inside, but also ensures the room, which features exposed stonework, feels bright and airy. Light the wood burner in here during the colder months, then settle down to spend cosy evenings in together, perhaps in front of a good film on the Smart TV. When mealtimes beckon, wander through to the adjacent kitchen/diner. Prepare hearty feasts for your party in this beamed space, then dine together around the central table. At the end of each day away in Yorkshire, follow a few steps down to the sleeping quarters. These include two double bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom and beds that can also be arranged as singles by prior request. There is also a twin bedroom and a family bathroom. Spend time out in your private garden, savouring the fresh air and sunshine and cooking out on the BBQ. Stroll around the shared grounds, taking the children to see the animals and play games in the football area.

Head into Masham, 3 miles away, to stock up on local produce and dine out in a friendly pub. Visit the National Trust’s Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden, 13.5 miles away. Plan a day out to Richmond, 17 miles away, where you can visit the Norman castle.

Beautiful cottage with wonderful outdoor space in which to unwind while taking in the gorgeous views and listening to the ducks. We were so relaxed. A pleasure to be there. The hosts were just perfect.

A truly amazing property. Exquisitely furnished and spotless. Fabulous goody basket and a vase of fresh flowers on the kitchen table. Despite not having control over the heating, this cottage is one mot to be missed. Outstanding.

Property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We found the bathroom and two bedrooms in the old part of the cottage very cold and for that reason would not rebook. The traffic on the road started at about 6.30, this did not bother my husband but did effect my sleep (I am a very light sleeper)

A lovely cottage in a beautiful area. However, guests have no control over the room temperatures, not ideal for a 90 year old man on blood thinners who needs a warm environment. And the 'hot' water in one bathroom was not hot enough for a bath or shower. The cool shower and bath, used only once, were also both extremely slow to drain (like overnighRead moret), pipes obviously blocked, Owner notified, and said they would sort it, but nothing improved and no apology. Shame, as very nice otherwise. Hide

Property was absolutely lovely and spotless, with plenty of space especially with two lounges. Primary lounge really bright and airy due to patio doors both sides. Courtyard great for morning coffee or late afternoon glass of wine in the sunshine. Great location and just a few minutes drive from Masham.

The cottage is situated in a perfect, quiet location only a short drive from Masham. The grounds were absolutely fantastic with a large pond, ducks and chickens roaming and a field with football goals. The 2 living rooms were lovely and the kitchen had everything needed including dishwasher and washing machine. The front courtyard looks out onto thRead moree rolling hills and was stunning. There is also ample parking at the rear. Ideal for trips to Pateley Bridge, Brimham Rocks and other nearby places. Hide
