This accommodation is located alongside the owners’ real ale pub, which is wonderful if you appreciate a refreshing pint after a busy day of exploring. It’s a brand-new apartment in the quaint village of Meltham, just 0.5 miles from the edge of the Peak District National Park. You’ll also be only 5.5 miles from Huddersfield, a bustling market town with a rich industrial heritage and excellent shopping. With space for up to four guests, this modern holiday home is perfect for a family, a small group of friends, or one or two couples.

You’ll access the apartment via a shared ground-level entrance which also leads to a second two-bed holiday flat. Inside, a stylish contemporary interior awaits, with a soothing colour scheme and tasteful wildlife-themed artwork on the walls. Top-end fittings and fixtures, like a stone worksurface in the kitchen, create an elevated feel, while many of the rooms have dual-aspect windows so there’s plenty of light. The open-plan layout is both airy and inviting — there’s a fully equipped kitchen and a breakfast bar for meals and chats. The lounge area has comfy sofas and a Smart TV for evening chill time. While there’s no private outdoor space, you’re welcome to spend time relaxing in the pub garden.

Meltham has all the amenities you’ll need during your stay, including a supermarket, places to eat, a post office and even an 18-hole golf course (1.5 miles). Head into the national park to discover beauty spots like Butterley and Wessenden Head Reservoirs (both 4 miles) or pack a picnic in your bike panniers and spend a day exploring quiet country lanes. The small towns of Slaithwaite and Marsden (2 and 3 miles) are both worth the trip, with shops, tearooms, and access to excellent walking on Marsden Moor, which includes parts of the Pennine Way. TV fans will be interested to visit Holmfirth (4.5 miles), famed for being the backdrop of the 1970s BBC series Last of the Summer Wine.

Family of 3 (2 adults, 1 six year old) had a fantastic 21-night stay in Cop Hill View during the summer months. The space was cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed. We had ample storage space and the rooms were a generous size, comfy beds/linen and very clean bathroom etc. Highlight was waking up every morning to the sound of sheep and Read morethe view of them across the hills with cows and horses too. No noise whatsoever from the pub either. We would highly recommend and will stay again! Hide

lovely apartment, great facilities. the pub was busy and welcoming and although they don't do food themselves there was a street-food van that was there over the weekend which was a nice extra. Not sure if it's there all the time so best to check. some lovely walks close by. we did venture further but plenty on the door step too.

Owners easy to contact if needed. Sweets and biscuits plus milk was a great touch and very appreciated.
