Head out on foot or by bicycle to explore the magnificent Yorkshire Dales from this charming cottage in Otterburn. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat, which has a pretty courtyard garden, is perfect for two couples or a small family seeking a comfortable base for their stay in the national park. Situated 9 miles from Skipton, it is well placed for Malham Tarn and Malham Cove.

Make your way into the Yorkshire cottage to discover it has a reverse-level layout, designed so you can enjoy your verdant surroundings to the full. At ground-floor level, you will find your two bedrooms, a double and a twin room. The family bathroom is also on this floor, together with a useful utility room. Make your way up to the first floor of the cottage to discover the lounge/diner, where you can gather after your days out. Play games, watch the Smart TV and simply enjoy some quality time, chatting together on the comfortable furniture. There is also a snug or reading room into which you can head if you fancy a few quiet moments to yourself. The kitchen/diner, where you can rustle up light snacks and hearty meals for your party, is also at this level. There is a kitchen table in here where you can pause with a cup of tea. Serve up special and celebratory meals through in the lounge/diner. Bask in the sunshine of the enclosed courtyard garden on summer days. Light the BBQ to cook lunch or dinner then dine outside in the fresh air.

Pull on your walking boots and venture straight out from the cottage on scenic walks. Head 5 miles to see the stunning, natural limestone formation of Malham Cove. From here, stroll 1.5 miles to the waterfall at Janet’s Foss or 2 miles to Gordale Scar.

Lovely, comfortable, well equipped cottage. Perfect if you want to get away from it all. Good base from which to explore the spectacular countryside, plenty of good walks close by. Not sure you could get 2 cars parked as stated in the description though.

A well-equipped spacious cottage in a very pretty location and with good walks from the door. It was very handy for Malham and its Cove and Tarn, and other places along the Pennine Way.

The cottage is modern clean and comfortable. The cooking utensils were numerous. There was also books games and fantastic WiFi. The Tv had a firestick so we had enough to programmes. The patio was brilliant. Everything was perfect.

A good value for money cottage in a lovely little hamlet. We could watch the comings and goings from the kitchen window on the first floor. Enjoyed evening strolls around the village with beautiful pink skies.A good base from which to enjoy the western Dales.
