An exquisitely designed property boasting an enclosed lawn, this lodge is nestled in the sleepy village of Finghall in a scenic corner of the Yorkshire Dales. This bespoke countryside hideaway is the perfect backdrop for a romantic break or a wholesome family retreat with three dogs in tow. Escape into nature with an amble along the tranquil Leyburn and Wensley Circular (within 5 miles), then ease weary muscles with a restorative soak in your private open-air Jacuzzi.

This attractive lodge features a carefully curated interior. Unwind surrounded by exposed beam work, rich navy hues, plush fabrics and tasteful country design touches. Unlace shoes on the decked veranda then step into the chic open-plan living space. Keen cooks can potter in the inky Shaker-style kitchen to rustle up an evening meal. Settle onto the plush dining chairs to feast beneath the glow of the hanging lights. After dinner, convert the dining space into a snooker table and challenge your opponents to a game. Stretch out on the plump corner sofa with dessert or curl up on the armchair to thumb through a guidebook. Chase away the winter chill with the stylish flame-effect open fire. Enjoy a deep slumber in the opulent super-king-size or a single room with an additional pull-out full-size single. Both rooms enjoy high thread count cotton and squishy throw cushions. Outside, little ones can play on the enclosed stretch of lawn before waving hello to the resident Shetland ponies. Perch on the veranda with a drink and spot the Wensleydale Railway chugging in the distance.

Bound aboard the Wensleydale Steam Train (within 1 mile) to glide through the emerald landscape in vintage style. Saunter the historic streets of the quaint market town of Bedale (6.5 miles) or scope out the cultural calendar of events in Richmond (10 miles).

Well equipped property in a beautiful part of the country. Lovely to end the day with a soak in the hot tub. The property is in walking distance of a fantastic pub and there is loads to do in the surrounding area. Ideal place to get away to and relax.

Had a very enjoyable stay here last week. The property is in a very good spot if want to travel around the Dales. Property was very nice with big bedrooms and bathroom, plus a choice of outdoor areas to sit in. Is also very private, neighbours are some horses! It is by the side of a road though so it's not complete peace and quiet if that's what yoRead moreu're after as cars go by regularly. But it is private, so you can't see them nor can they see in. Lovely cabin in a great setting, very clean and well equipped. The communication with owner was good ,but if your dogs are not happy with horse's the 3 acre field is a no go but some great walks on the door step and a perfect village pub.

Beautiful lodge, furnished and equipped to a high standard, in a great location for visits to surrounding villages. Great views from hot tub and convenient field/grassed area for pets. Only down-side was the heating was kept on a timer so we couldn't access it ourselves. We had sub-zero temperatures all week and heavy snowfall and it was off from mRead moreid-morning until around 3.30pm. Owner suggested bio ethanol fire but it didn't give out much heat at all and the fuel is expensive. Hide

The cottage was well equipped but I do feel it was very over priced. The location is nice but still set at the road side and used by heavy vehicles. Which you don't see when looking at the pictures. We were asked if we wanted to do early check in for 25 which covered the heating and cleaning apparently. The chalet was freezing on arrival (December Read morebooking) tried contact the owner and they said it was set to come on at 3:30pm everyday. The guests have no control over the heating! Not good! Well appointed property. Lovely views when stood on the balcony. Hot tub welcome to ease muscles after lots of hiking. 2nd bedroom wasn't set up for 2 children on arrival, but owner was easily contactable and issue quickly resolved. Lovely quiet location with plenty of local walks from the lodge. Would recommend.
