Set on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, this elegant hideaway is an excellent base for a pet-owning couple seeking a quiet break in nature, with trips to nearby English countryside towns and an opportunity for a day by the coast. Everything you need is in one, bright open-plan living space with a characterful wooden beamed ceiling, and you can dine alfresco on the enclosed patio.

Inside, you will find a welcoming neutral-toned lounge/kitchen/diner which is flooded with natural light through the skylights and is lovingly decorated with country-style furnishings. To one side of the room is a compact but well-organised ā€˜L’-shaped fitted kitchen with dark worktops and light cabinets. Adjacent is an intimate wooden dining table for enjoying romantic dinners. On the other side of the room, you’ll find a warming wood burner surrounded by comfortable armchairs. Rest in the super-king-size bedroom with French chic decor and a splash of colour throughout the soft furnishings. Completing the interior of the property is a bathroom with a roll-top bath. Outside, you will find a private patio with furniture and a BBQ.

What a lovely week we've just had! The cottage is deceptively spacious, immaculately furnished and spotlessly clean. The patio area is totally private with nothing but countryside in front of it. The location is great with some lovely villages within easy driving distance and some of the views you see when travelling around are truly spectacular! TRead morehe local pub is within walking distance and the food served there is lovely (tip - always book a table in advance) A big thank you to the owners Hide

We loved everything about the cottage. Bed was huge and so comfy. Kitchen had everything youd need and more. The welcome pack was a lovely gesture, especially the oat biscuits (not something we normally eat but we finished the packet!). The logs for the fire was a perfect amount for the weekend. Having a pub with amazing food 5 min walk up the roadRead more was an added bonus. The Christmas decs were beautiful as were all the furnishings. Only negative was the weatherbut cant do much about that Hide

Excellent cottage in a perfect location. The cottage was very spacious for a one bed cottage. The bed and bedroom were much larger than the photos show. The bathroom was enormous. It was warm. We enjoyed the log burner. Very cosy in the evenings. Location perfect. Could walk to a pub. Lots of walks on the moors and easy to drive to Whitby, York, HeRead morelmsley and also to the steam railway and Hogsmeade and Heartbeat locations! Would go there again. We thoroughly recommend this cottage. Hide
