Lesley made us very welcome and the cottage was warm and cosy during an unusually chilly week for mid May. A good location for either heading into York via Park and Ride or exploring lovely towns and villages around the area.

A bijou cottage in a delightful spot in a pretty village. We were very comfortable for our week and enjoyed exploring National Trust houses, the steam railway to Whitby and York itself- all easy to reach. A short walk to the Durham Ox in the village for meals and good walking locally. The owner was friendly and welcoming.

We've not stayed in a one bed accommodation before, but this was perfect for us, it had everything we needed, was in a great location and Lesley our host could not have done more for us. If you're looking for peace & quiet with places to visit etc. only a relatively short distance away, plus a well thought out hamper, this is it.
