This beautiful stone-built cottage in the attractive village of Low Hawsker is a wonderful setting for a family of four to enjoy a holiday on the Yorkshire coast. A wonderful blend of original period features and stylish decor makes the three-storey property a great place to relax after a day of adventure. There are two bedrooms, and the living space is kept cosy by a crackling wood burner.

From the entrance porch, step inside and make yourselves at home in the lounge. Here, a variety of seating surrounds a Smart TV and a wood burner, so you can catch up with your favourite box sets in the warmth of a glowing fire. When you’re feeling peckish, the kitchen has everything you could need to whip up something delicious. Climb the stairs to the first floor to find a spacious bedroom with a double and a single bed, plus a family shower room. Up another set of cottage-style stairs to the second floor, you can curl up in the attic-style bedroom, which again features a double and a single bed beneath characterful low, sloping ceilings. On sunny days, nothing beats sipping a glass of something chilled in the courtyard garden, surrounded by colourful flowers.

Just 3 miles away, guests can explore the iconic cobbled streets of Whitby, and 2 miles away the shores of Robin Hood's Bay, famed for its tales of smugglers and pirates. Alternatively, take a stroll and admire the breathtaking Falling Foss waterfall, located just 5 miles away, or adventure along one of the many picturesque walking and cycling trails, with access to the Cleveland Way only 6 miles from the cottage.

Our 2nd time at Ness Cottage. We stayed a week at this lovely traditional cottage situated perfectly in the middle of Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby. Excellent walking from the doorstep along the Cinder Path. Cottage was not quite what I expected It was quite comfortable and the beds and shower room were good, however lack of adequate space to use table was a pain so we had to eat on our laps not something I expected.. The garden being separate from the house caused us problems as our old dog sometimes needs a toilet break during the night and in the weRead moret and windy weather we experienced taking him outside on the lead was far from ideal. This was not made clear on the cottage details and I would have not chosen to stay here had I known. This was not made clear in cottage details. Parking was also not ideal in the bad weather we experienced. Garage was old and tatty and difficult to park in so we parked on the road opposite, also not ideal in bad weather. Hide

Nice little cottage in a good location for surrounding area. Off street parking ok but a little hit & miss for space. Comfortable and adequate facilities for 2-4 people. Not too noisy even though located on the main village road. A little old fashioned decor for our taste but clean nevertheless.
