Stay a while in this traditional cottage with bright interiors, wooden beamed ceilings, and an exposed stone inglenook fireplace with a warming wood burner. Set in the Nidderdale National Landscape, this spacious two-bed property is an excellent choice for a couple or small family seeking a quiet countryside getaway while still being close to local eateries and the historic city of Ripon.

As you enter the lounge, your eyes will be drawn to the wood burner which will keep you cosy while relaxing on the sofa or armchair. This room is decorated with countryside-themed artwork. Continue into the stylish, neutral-toned kitchen/diner to find a wooden dining table which sits beside a sash window. The farmhouse-style fitted kitchen with shaker-style cabinets offers ample worktop space for preparing a hearty meal. Also on the ground floor is a utility room with a WC. Climb the stairs to reach a bathroom, a French-chic king-size bedroom, and a single bedroom. Outside is a walled courtyard garden with furniture and a BBQ.

Start your day with a wander around Kirkby Malzeard past the countryside pub, takeaway shop, and beck (all within 0.5 miles). Step back in time with a trip to the motte-and-bailey Mowbray Castle (1.5 miles) or the fascinating Druid’s Temple (6 miles). Spend a day visiting the museums, medieval cathedral and shops in Ripon (6 miles) before enjoying a walk along the River Skell. Head to Fountains Abbey (7 miles) to find footpaths through the Seven Bridges Valley, the Surprise View and Anne Boleyn’s Seat. Also near here is the Studley Royal Deer Park (7 miles).

A beautiful cottage, well located for visits to moors and dales and everything in between. We were very comfortable and felt sad to leave.

Cosy, warm, well equipped cottage. Centrally located for Nidderdale, Ripon, Fountains Abbey and other places of interest. Very comfortable bed, spacious kitchen/dining area. Good wifi and phone signal. Good communication with the owner and excellent value.

Good mix of modern comfort and period charm in this cottage. Located in a lovely village with lots of places locally to visit. The cottage was well set out with a very comfy bedroom and excellent kitchen diner. Good to have an outdoor seating area which was an afternoon sun trap ideal for a welcome home drink. There was no allocated parking but hadRead more no trouble parking on the street. A visit to the local butcher shop is a must if you are cooking. Hide

Our Cottage was all we expected,Mrs Allan, had thought of all we may need. Such a cosy cottage in beautiful park of Yorkshire dales. We would recommend this property to any one who would like a break from the hubbub of daily life time to chill have some fabulous experiences in Yorkshire.

Lovely cottage, in a lovely village. It was a pleasure to settle back home after our days outing, get food on, get fire on and ,,,,pour a drink. Locals friendly - outside the chippie waiting for our order: opens two nights Friday and Saturday, Butchers good, didnt use the pub so cant comment.
