At the heart of the idyllic village of Kettlewell, this delightful stone-built cottage makes a lovely hideaway for couples and smaller families keen to explore a spellbinding part of the Yorkshire Dales. Perfectly situated for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers discovering the region’s breathtaking countryside, the beautifully furnished property offers a useful reverse-level format so you can make the most of the stunning views. With ample space for up to four guests, this traditional holiday home features a welcoming wood burner and a sweet garden, providing an ideal space for you to unwind after a fabulous day enjoying the region’s magical valleys, beautiful rivers and tranquil meadows.

Entering the cottage, head upstairs to the first-floor living spaces. The stylish lounge/diner has a lovely wood burner set in a stone surround, along with a Smart TV, comfortable seating and a light, relaxing dining area. There’s an additional breakfast bar in the sleek, fully equipped kitchen. Returning to the ground floor, you will find a bathroom and a handy utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and ample space for leaving coats and muddy boots after a long day’s excursion. The cottage has two cheerful bedrooms, decorated in light, soothing shades: a cosy twin and a delightful king. Outside, the pretty back garden is enclosed and has a charming lawn, a patio area and a choice of outdoor furniture offering an ideal spot for sitting back and taking in the picturesque views of the Dales.

Known for its annual Scarecrow Festival, the friendly village of Kettlewell lies along the River Wharfe and beneath Great Whernside. Popular destinations in the southern part of the Yorkshire Dales include Malham Cove, Mossdale Caverns, Scar House Reservoir and Stump Cross Caverns, all within 13 miles. Skipton (14 miles) is known for its magnificent historic castle.

We loved Amerdale Cottage. One of the best holiday properties we have stayed in. Very clean, well equipped, great location and very reasonably priced.. Everything was very convenient. When we had a minor query, Sara responded very promptly. The views from upstairs were lovely. If we visit the area again we will definitely book Amerdale Cottage agaiRead moren. Kettlewell is a great base for exploring Upper Wharfedale, Littondale and Coverdale. There are numerous walks to choose from all starting from the front door! Hide

Spacious cottage in a brilliant location with handy off road parking for 2 cars. We were welcomed with a generous hamper & good supply tea, coffee, sugar & fresh milk. Good reviews are tricky in case you want to go back and they are fully booked but this cottage is perfect. The living room and dining area are upstairs with beautiful views of the hills. Our first visit. The cottage is excellent in every respect. The attention to detail is outstanding. It really feels as if you are in someones home rather than a holiday let. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped but throughout theres nothing to find fault with. Very nice garden and the boot room is a particularly great asset. Amerdale is a delightful cottage in a lovely location. It is very clean and comfortable and the layout with the lounge upstairs is ideal to make the most of the beautiful scenery with views of the lambs frolicking in the fields behind. The owner has thought of everything to make the stay at the cottage as ideal and memorable as possible. Lovely cottage in the heart of Kettlewell. The cottage had a well equipped kitchen, including a steamer for vegetables which is always a plus.
