Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this dog-friendly stone-built semi-detached is perfect for a quiet nature getaway filled with outdoor adventures. Up to four guests can stay in this quirky country-style property with exposed wooden beams, a garden and a wood burner in the lounge. Explore the surrounding rural villages, waterfalls and hilltop views during your Yorkshire escape.

Enter the lobby before moving through the striking red, black and wooden lounge. Natural light pours through the tall sash window into this cosy space with two sofas and an armchair in front of a wood burner. Continue into a neutral-toned kitchen/diner to find a chic dining table. Opposite is a fitted kitchen with wooden cabinets and granite countertops. Beyond here is a utility room and a WC. On the first floor are two double bedrooms and a family bathroom. On the second floor is a shower room with basin and WC. Outside is a small enclosed patio with bench seating.

During your stay in the rural village of Gunnerside, you’ll have a local pub and a tea room less than 0.5 miles away and the market town of Hawes is 10.5 miles away. Also, 17 miles away is the historic town of Richmond, where you can visit the hilltop castle by the river and the creative hub, The Station. Put on your hiking boots and head to Keld (6.5 miles) to follow the Pennine Way or admire the Kidson Force waterfall. You’ll also be impressed by the Aysgarth Falls, 10.5 miles away.

Excellent location in a lovely village, one minute's walk from the pub which serves good food. Wonderful for riverside or hilly walks. The cottage is quiet, comfortable and well-equipped (apart from the freezer which is only a table-top). We appreciated the generous welcome pack.
