Rooted in the industrial story of West Yorkshire, this thoughtfully restored 19th-century textile mill has been transformed into a stylish family apartment that balances heritage character with contemporary living. Positioned in the valley beside the Keighley and Worth Valley steam railway, it sits within easy reach of Haworth’s village centre, where independent cafes, traditional pubs and boutique shops line the historic streets.

Entry is into a welcoming hallway with practical storage for coats and shoes, alongside shelving for books. The main open-plan living area sits to the right, where a well-equipped kitchen includes modern appliances such as a dishwasher and washing machine, complemented by subtle lighting that adds warmth in the evenings. The lounge area is arranged with two leather sofas and a Smart TV, while full-height windows draw in natural light and frame views over the shared garden and steam railway. A dining table sits nearby for shared meals. Two well-proportioned bedrooms are located off the hallway: a bright twin room and a spacious double, both with wardrobes and drawers for storage and full-height windows that echo the light-filled feel of the living area. A contemporary bathroom completes the interior, fitted with a large walk-in rainfall shower. Outside, a private balcony extends from the living area and looks directly towards the passing steam trains, creating a memorable setting for morning coffee or an evening drink. The apartment also includes a designated parking space close to the entrance, additional parking opposite the building, and access to EV charging points in the nearby car park.

Famous as the former home of the Brontƫ sisters, Haworth retains a strong literary and cultural identity, with cobbled lanes and atmospheric scenery throughout. The Yorkshire Dales lie around 15 miles away, while the edge of the Pennines places walkers and cyclists within reach of varied routes straight from the door. Local highlights include Brontƫ Waterfall (2 miles), Saltaire UNESCO World Heritage Site (8 miles), Skipton (12 miles), Halifax and the Piece Hall (8 miles), and Harrogate (25 miles).

From when we booked our stay in this lovely apartment, we had immediate contact with the owners who were willing to go out of their way to provide us with any information that we required. The directions and check in process were very easy to follow. The apartment was absolutely spotless and it contained everything required for an excellent stay. ARead more thoughtful touch included a few welcome gifts which were left on the table. The apartment was in a great and peaceful location with plenty of surrounding attractions that were in walking-1 hour drive distance. Next time we are in this part of the country we would return. The apartment was clean comfortable and very well equipped. Abit of a climb into town but well worth it. Plenty of cafe and pubs. Shout out for local butcher housed in the Spar shop just up the road. Well worth travelling on the steam railway.

We had a very enjoyable stay at The Cotton Mill, a well-presented two-bedroom flat set within a characterful former mill building. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The joining instructions were clear and arrived in good time, making arrival straightforward and stresRead mores-free. Having dedicated off-road parking was a real bonus and added to the overall convenience. The location worked perfectly for ussituated in a quiet area yet within easy reach of Haworth and the surrounding countryside. A supermarket just a few minutes walk away was particularly handy. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending The Cotton Mill to others. Hide
