For couples and small families in search of adventure, this charming, traditionally styled property set within the Yorkshire Dales National Park offers a great garden and conservatory for relaxation surrounded by natural beauty. With the River Nidd accessible via the garden gate, rest assured that peaceful walks are not far to find, whilst the vibrant village of Pateley Bridge is just 3 miles away.

This upside-down property has been designed with the views in mind, ensuring you can maximise your enjoyment whilst relaxing in the comfortable living area. On the first floor, the conservatory is a light, bright space where you can sprawl out and read a book, or share stories with your loved ones whilst gazing out over the garden come rain or shine. Adjoining the conservatory is the kitchen and diner, traditionally styled with everything you’ll need to fix up a feast for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the ground floor, there are two bedrooms with double beds, both styled in calming, neutral decor whilst one enjoys the use of an en-suite for convenience. When the sun is shining, the garden is a wonderful place to be with a large sloping lawn overlooking the river and a pretty terrace for al fresco dining.

Spend a day in the spa town of Harrogate (10 miles) and indulge at one of the local tearooms serving up tasty treats, including the iconic Bettys Harrogate. Here, the architecture is awe-inspiring and gardens such as RHS Harlow Carr offer a tranquil escape from the buzz of the main town. For an outdoor adventure, explore the national park with a visit to the unique geology of Brimham Rocks (2 miles) or Fountains Abbey (9 miles) for a spot of history, each offering an invigorating walking route with plenty to see along the way.

Lovely property but not realised it was very near a primary school, quite noisy at certain times of day , no reference to this in the property details. Can I also add that although we were informed of children playing next door we did not envisage the thump, thump , thump of a football a few yards away, it was then the lesser of two evils, do we retRead morereat to the boiling hot conservatory or be tortured by the noise , sorry but just wanted a quiet week & didnt always have that , Hide

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Riverside Cottage. We found it very well-equipped, clean, comfortable and cosy. It was ideal for our purposes, as a great base for walking: very quiet and peaceful and yet also very easy to access from the main road.

Lovely house and very comfortable. Liked the upside down living, which took advantage of such a great garden. We had everything we needed and the one problem we encountered was soon sorted.

Nice place to stay, well equipped and clean and tidy. Main issue is that the conservatory is too hot when the sun is shining and so bright that the TV is impossible to see, but nice weather so out most of the time

Lovely cottage in a great location. Immaculately clean and absolutely everything you need is accommodated for in the kitchen. Very spacious with the exception of the second bedroom, but not a problem as the bed was so comfy.
