This homely and elegant countryside cottage in West Yorkshire is perfect for four guests seeking a dog-friendly break surrounded by history, charming towns and nature trails. With a garden looking out onto green fields and an airy open-plan living space, you’ll be set for a sociable and relaxing break with your loved ones in this two-bed property.

Step inside and find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a wooden beamed ceiling and tones of green, white and black throughout. To one side of this space is an exposed brick wall with a white and green one-wall fitted kitchen. Adjacent is a breakfast bar with velvet stalls. In front of the exposed brick fireplace with a woodburner-effect electric fire is a large sofa and a pink armchair. Upstairs are two boutique-style green and pink double bedrooms with headboards and retro decor like hanging glass lights and a seashell headboard. There is one family shower room with a walk-in shower. Outside is a private courtyard garden with a BBQ and a rattan dining set. There is on-street parking.

While staying in the heart of BrontĆ« Country, you’ll be just 3.5 miles from the cobblestone streets of the historic literary town of Haworth. If you’re feeling nostalgic, head to Oxenhope (4 miles) for its heritage steam railway and cosy village pubs. Spend some time in nature with a hike or two in the Yorkshire Dales National Park (21 miles). The lively city of Leeds is 24 miles away for a spot of shopping and an evening meal out.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and really comfortable. There are loads of great walks in the local area and pubs. It is remote enough to feel quite and out of the way but near enough to shops etc to get anything you need. The garden was safe and secure for the dog and the neighbours we met were all lovely.
