Travel as a pack to this dreamy Dales property, sleeping up to eight humans and two dogs. You decide if you take family or friends ā or a jolly combination! Located in the pretty market town of Hawes, itās a great jumping off spot for exploring the rest of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Head out on foot from your home from home or drive to other towns for walks.
Bright and airy interiors with pretty decor and furnishings await in this rural retreat, offering all mod cons and comforts. Thereās plenty of room here for everyone, with cosy seating in the lounge, but a sofa in the generous kitchen/diner, too. Thereās three storeys here, with the living area on the ground floor, three bedrooms on the first and a stunning king-size bedroom in the eaves on the second floor, with light flooding through multiple windows and skylights. With its own en-suite shower room, sofa and TV, itās almost a suite! Outside, the enclosed patio is furnished and makes a lovely spot for communal BBQs or quiet cuppas. Steps lead down to a sloping grassed area with a bench and thereās yet another bench for quiet contemplation to the front of the stone-style house. Off-road parking for two cars is another bonus.
The cobbled streets full of independent shops, pubs and cafes in Hawes are a must, especially on market day. For local culture and flavour, respectively, visit the Dales Countryside Museum and Wensleydale Creamery, home to the eponymous regional cheese. If waterfalls appeal then youāre in luck: Englandās highest single waterfall is at Hardraw Force (2 miles); while thereās multiple cascades at Aysgarth Falls (10 miles). History buffs will enjoy Castle Boltonās medieval fortress, thatās 13 miles from the property.
