Savour the truly special ambience of this exquisite retreat deep in the Yorkshire Moors. Sleeping eight guests, and welcoming dogs, the enticing, four-bedroom cottage at Low Mill, 6 miles from Kirkbymoorside, makes a wonderful country home option for large families or groups of friends. With an abundance of character, it features a wood burner for autumn and winter stays and a lovely, lawned garden for your special spring and summer Yorkshire breaks.

Tear yourselves away from the verdant, rolling views to enter this exquisite, former farmhouse. Congregate in the gorgeous, beamed and panelled lounge, where you can stoke up the wood burner in the stone fireplace and find a great movie on the Smart TV for everyone to enjoy. Play games, read your books and decide whose turn it is to whip up the next delicious meal. Amble through to the kitchen/diner to rustle up breakfast, lunch or dinner and to gather round the table to enjoy the fruits of your labour. One of your bedrooms, a sumptuous super-king-size, is downstairs while two more super-king-sizes are on the floor above. One of the super-king-size bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom and another has an en-suite shower room. A twin bedroom and a family bathroom are also upstairs. Enjoy the fresh air and scenery from your lovely, private garden. Dine outside as often as possible and sit out under the stars on fine evenings, with a bottle of chilled wine.

Pull on your walking boots and head straight off on exhilarating group walks from the doorstep. Follow the pretty River Dove and visit Bank Top Kilns, 7.5 miles away, to take in the far-reaching views across the dramatic moors. Head into Kirkbymoorside to stock up on local produce, dine out and browse in the many stores selling antiques.

This is the third time that we have stayed at the cottage. Each time we have had a wonderful visit, feeling rejuvenated and refreshed afterwards, due to the spaciousness of the cottage, beautiful setting and amazing number of birds that live in the surrounding trees and hedges. As soon as we drove away from the cottage after a week's stay, my husbaRead morend said that he was ready to come back, so we have booked again for the following year. Absolutely beautiful cottage, finished and decorated to an extremely high standard including very comfortable beds. Truly stunning rural location and the convenience of a well stocked shop with friendly, knowledgeable staff next door.

We have just had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. Waking up in the morning to birds chattering, watching groups of sparrows sitting on top of the hedges and enjoying gorgeous views of the surrounding hills was our idea of a perfect holiday. Beautiful cottage, tranquil and idyllic. Farndale really is a wonderful place to relax and u wind. We looked forward to our daily visits to The Farndale Store enjoyed produce including sausages, frozen meals, ice cream, pasties and coffees etc. including local alcoholic beverages.
