This stunning property, one of two contemporary stone barn conversions in the hilltops near the village of Grosmont, is an idyllic setting for a couple looking for a tranquil retreat within the North York Moors National Park. Grosmont is a charming village with traditional stone architecture, inviting pubs, and indulgent tea rooms. Outdoor enthusiasts will find ample opportunities for hiking and exploring the surrounding moorland and woodland areas, including the stunning Mallyan Spout Waterfall, less than 5 miles away.

This characterful, single-level romantic hideaway has a stylish interior and offers a unique blend of contemporary comfort and rustic charm. The open-plan living space boasts characterful exposed wooden beams and stone walls; through the windows are breathtaking views of rolling countryside across the valley. The cottage has underfloor heating to keep you warm, whatever the weather. Sink into the comfortable chairs in the lounge area, pop a log on the wood burner and watch a romantic movie together. Cook up a storm in the contemporary kitchen with all the appliances you need to prepare an evening meal to enjoy at the breakfast bar. A lovely double bedroom and a separate shower room with a walk-in shower and WC complete this cosy cottage. Outside, enjoy your morning brew sitting on the enclosed flagstone patio and take in the wonderful views.

Head to the coast and embark on an adventure at the seaside town of Whitby (9.5 miles), known for its cobbled streets, quirky shops, and tasty fish and chips best enjoyed on the sandy beach. A great way to see the beauty of the moors is to take a trip on the North York Moors Railway, which you can catch from Grosmont (less than 1 mile walk) and travel by steam train through to Pickering. For outdoor activities, it is 15 miles to North Riding Forest Park, where you can explore the walking, cycling, and running trails, and find a quiet spot to yourselves.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location which has been restored to a very high standard. The views from it are outstanding and probably the best weve experienced. So much to do and see in the local area, with some lovely pubs nearby to visit and eat at. Will definitely return in the near future, one of our favourites
