Sandsend is a small fishing village with a handful of cute shops, cafes, and restaurants. The resort is considerably quieter than its bustling neighbour of Whitby, and it’s easy to find your own, peaceful spot on the sandy beach for sunbathing, rock pooling, or swimming in the shallow waters. The long-distance Cleveland Way passes through the village and you can follow it for 2.5 miles to Whitby, to dine in the seafood restaurants, explore the iconic abbey ruins, or board the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
