We spent a fantastic week here, with a multi generational group and 2 dogs. The accomodation was excellent, everyone commented on the comfortable beds. There was plenty of space for everyone, the teens/kids particularly liked the loft space. The property is equipped with an array of games/books and films, there was plenty to do in the evenings. TheRead more owners are super lovely and helpful, and quickly fixed a non working light fitting on a Sunday. The area is lovely with interesting walks from the doorstep and all the locals were really friendly and helpful. There are many local attractions nearby, including the brewery up the hill, great independent shops at Putney Bridge (including pet shop, bakery's/butchers and a co-op), Brimham rocks and the heath were a hit with the family. We all loved Knaresborough and the Nid gorge walk. The accomodation and local area/shops and attractions are all really dog friendly. We still had a long lost of things to do, so we will have to come back. Hide

We had a wondaful week with six adults and three grandchildren. They had exciting things to do each day including Brimham Rocks, Stump Cross Caverns (panning for "Gold" was one big hit), Fountains Abbey (which has a playground to die for) and walks in the woods. Better than the seaside their parents concluded. The house was a bit of a shock at firRead morest because the ground floor is Victorian style with flagstone floors but the upper floors are modern and there is a hideaway in the roof space where the kids liked to go to watch their screens. The Aga Stove is on all the time in the kitchen so its well warm in there and cooking with it is a different experience even if its just bangers and mash. Its all part of the fun. During the week we collected two takeaways from Pateley Bridge 10 minutes away.. One was fish and chips (excellent) and the other was pies from the pie shop which were OK. The owner was attentive and accessible by phone or text. Altogether we loved it and our two dogs settled in quickly. Hide

A great family home. Enough room for all the family and 3 dogs too. Wonderful to sit around the kitchen table, chat and enjoy the aga as we cooked. Friendly shop and pub, max 2 mins walk away. Even a local distillery, Whittakers, an easy 10min walk away. Making and selling gin & whisky.
