Ideal for a multi-generational gathering, this detached property sits on the edge of the famous Moor and is just a mile from the spa town of Ilkley. With lots of space where seven can socialise, its garden features a fabulous children’s playhouse.

A warm West Yorkshire welcome awaits you at this beautifully located property. A perfect holiday home-from-home, beyond the hallway there’s a choice of two living rooms – one a study complete with a work area, and the other a lounge where you can stretch out in front of the TV. To the rear of the latter, double doors open onto a traditionally furnished dining room which has French doors onto the garden. The contemporary kitchen also has lovely garden views. A handy cloakroom completes the convenience of the ground floor layout, while upstairs, there’s a family bathroom and four bedrooms. Couples can choose between two king-size rooms or one with a double bed. The fourth has a single bed and each has plenty of space for you to unpack and settle in properly. To the rear, the well-tended garden features a patio, mature planting and outdoor furniture. Children will love the wooden playhouse, and the garage houses not only a useful washer/dryer but also provides secure storage for any bikes you’d like to bring.

Situated in the Wharfe Valley, at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales, Ilkley rose to fame in the 19th century when thousands visited for its fresh air and first-class hotels. It remains renowned for the tree-lined streets that are today home to upmarket shops, eateries and galleries, along with lovely riverside walks and, for those who want to fully immerse themselves in local life, an open-air lido. Ilkley is home to one of the largest cycling clubs in the country and there’s plenty of moorland to enjoy on the doorstep, whether on foot or on two wheels. Head onto the famous moor and you’ll find some fabulous rock formations.

It was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The back garden was attractive and the views from the front bedrooms were lovely. The location was good. The microwave hadn't been cleaned out. The pipes in the bathroom were very noisy when the toilet was flushed which was a problem at night.

Perfect for us as a big family. Piano was excellent. Big dining room table was lovely. Back garden is beautiful. Ilkley is a perfect location, everything we needed and the countryside is spectacular. Walking up Cow and Calf was fun for the kids.
