Property code: OC-W317

Occupying three floors, this charming, characterful cottage in Whitby is a part of one of the oldest streets in town and boasts unique Jacobean features and a cosy lounge. This beautiful stone property welcomes four guests to kick back and relax close to nearby beaches, eateries and shops.

Let yourselves into this cosy cottage and settle down in front of the Smart TV on one of the pillowy sofas. Exposed stone walls, a toasty wood burner, old wood panelling and original overhead beams all add to that homely atmosphere after long days wandering the coast. When the troops feel peckish, rustle up large feasts in the well-equipped kitchen/diner and tuck into your creations around the table. Find a WC, plus a washing machine and tumble dryer on this floor, too – perfect for running through those sandy towels. Make your way up to the first floor to a double bedroom and bathroom, while the second floor accommodates a twin bedroom with an intimate sloping ceiling. Wake up to mugs of freshly brewed coffee and savour it out in the small, enclosed yard, which is complete with a bistro table and chairs.

Take advantage of the many amenities of Whitby, including the shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, which are all less than half a mile away. Spend many happy hours admiring the sea view from the top of Whitby Abbey or hop aboard a sunset cruise to Ravenscar and keep your eyes peeled for seals and possibly the odd dolphin. Discover the waymarked wonder, the Cleveland Way, which takes you on a journey along the coast through pretty fishing harbours, rugged hills and ancient monuments.

A beautiful period cottage in the heart of Whitby. Although its in the middle of Whitby, the cottage and yard are very secluded and quiet. As its a period properly dont be expecting a 5 star hotel finish. It has everything you need during your stay. The WiFi was very good. We timed the walk to the parking space and its closer to 10 minutes than 5 bRead moreut still not too far to drag your cases. We had a lovely time and would definitely book again if we return to Whitby. Hide

Really interesting building, lots of old world charm. If you like your modern comforts maybe look else where.

Though a little tired, a clean, comfortable cottage (I have advised owners of one or two things that could do with a little attention) - definitely recommend and would happily return! Perfect location

Advertised as real fire and dvd / cd player - neither of these existed. TV had no regular channels to watch, just catch up / app based which required log in. Other than these issues the property is great, fantastic location and the added bonus of a parking space ( 5 mins walk away) was superb.

Lovely, cosy cottage just off the harbour and characterful Flowergate. Quirky layout and traditional decor. We didn't have any Wi-Fi during our stay, that would have been a bonus but wasn't essential. Helpful and friendly owners, and dog friendly. Recommended!
