Wanted to start off by saying the cottage is in an excellent location and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we immediately noticed how sticky the floors were, that there were heaps of wood lice, scuttling about along with multitudes of spiderwebs and spiders in many corners, including in the kitchen cupboards. Another fairly lRead morearge issue we faced was trying to use the oven. A couple of the stove top burners seem to work OK, but the oven itself would continuously switch itself off and had to be closely monitored that the gas wouldnt leak out of the oven when the flame would go out. Being a gas oven, we suspect it perhaps needed servicing. Furthermore, the cheap continuous coil mattresses were incredibly uncomfortable, and borderline insulting for this level of rental property. Also on our last morning in the cottage, the Wi-Fi stopped working well before the checkout time, and it also seemed that suddenly the power outlets were no longer functioning and did not allow us to charge our phones before hitting the road. Fortunately, we had charged them the night before, but this could definitely leave someone in a loop if they were counting on looking things up prior to leaving your cottage. Overall, this has the potential to be a really fantastic property with more diligent cleaning, pest control, and investment in better mattresses. Also, there was only one extra medium garbage bag left for a one week stay and only two laundry pods which restricted use unless you bought more. Our stay was negatively impacted by these issues, and likely any other guests will be impacted in the same way. Hide
