Savour a stay at this outstanding, West Yorkshire cottage set on a working farm. Inviting couples and small families, the gorgeous two-bedroom hideaway is situated at Lightcliffe, 1 mile from Hipperholme and 4 miles from Halifax. With generous space and a private patio for basking in the sunshine, the enticing retreat is the perfect place to return home to after trips into the Peak District, 11.5 miles away, or the Yorkshire Dales, 20 miles away.

Make your way in and head through to the lovely kitchen/diner to unpack the delicious Yorkshire produce you have bought and prepare a homecooked meal for your party to enjoy at the table. Perch up at the breakfast bar with a cup of strong Yorkshire tea as dinner roasts or wander through to the lounge to unwind for a while in front of the Smart TV/DVD. Open the doors to the patio in here on bright, sunny days so everyone can wander out into the fresh air as the mood takes them. There is also a handy WC downstairs. The family bathroom and the bedrooms are up on the first floor of the property. These include a beautiful king-size room and a bunk bedroom that the younger members of the family will adore. Outside, light the BBQ on fine days then cook and dine under the setting sun. Linger out here under the stars on summer nights.

Visit Shibden Hall, 2.5 miles away, where Anne Lister, the subject of the TV series Gentleman Jack, once lived. Take the youngsters for a fun trip out to Eureka! The National Children’s Museum, 4 miles away in Halifax. Plan a day out to charming Holmfirth, 12.5 miles away, where the BBC series Last of the Summer Wine was filmed, then venture into the Peak District, 2.5 miles further on, for a scenic walk.

Lovely place to stay. Cottage was really welcoming and homely. Me and my family had a relaxed stay there. Nice areas for walks, too.

Nice cottage in quiet location. Although it is situated in a very urban area there is still a lot of nature to explore and of course industrial heritage. The cottage itself is comfortable but it can use a bit of updoing.

Really comfy cottage for two. Second bedroom very small so would only recommend for small children. Good shower. Nice setting given it isnt far from Bradford and Brighouse. Feels like you are in the countryside. Would definitely stay again.

The cottage was very tastefully decorated and clean. The bathroom was a little small and the door to the bathroom and the master bedroom did not close properly. There were a couple of light bulbs not working either. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, thank you. The location was great for exploring the area and we used the Sun Inn for eating andRead more drinking. It was nice and very welcoming. Hide
