This beautifully restored Grade II-listed townhouse offers stylish and spacious accommodation across four floors for up to eight guests – perfect for family gatherings or holidays with friends. Set on Whitby’s historic East Side, it places you 0.5 miles from both the bustling harbour and the iconic Whitby Abbey, reached via the famous 199 Steps.

Enter via the rear garden, down a flight of stairs, arriving on the first floor. Head down to the ground floor to find an inviting open-plan living space complete with a modern kitchen, central dining area and a plush corner sofa for relaxed evenings. A multi-fuel burner adds warmth and charm, while stone steps from this floor lead directly down to the harbour. The first floor features a double bedroom alongside a sleek shower room. On the second floor, you’ll find another beautifully finished double bedroom with lovely harbour views, as well as a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The top floor boasts a delightful twin bedroom tucked beneath exposed beams, with a pull-out bed and futon providing flexible sleeping options for up to four guests. Wake up here to stunning rooftop views across the harbour and out to sea. Outside, the raised garden terrace provides a peaceful place to unwind. Light the gas fire table and enjoy magical evenings outdoors, chatting under the stars. On-street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

From your doorstep, stroll the cobbled streets lined with independent shops, sample freshly caught seafood, or visit the sandy beach (1 mile). History lovers will relish exploring the atmospheric Abbey – said to have inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula – while boat trips from the harbour give a fresh perspective of the dramatic coastline. The edge of the North York Moors National Park begins 2 miles away, and the picturesque coastal village of Robin Hood’s Bay sits 5 miles along the shore. For TV fans, Goathland (9 miles) is a great day trip, well known as the filming location for Heartbeat.

After 2 nights the lights stopped working on the top floor in the bathroom. We was very grateful that someone came out to inspect on NYE but couldnt be sorted. Was pretty disappointed that all the builders mess was left and not cleaned up. We was told to use natural sunlight in the bathroom and torches were available but when you like a shower onRead more an evening it can be rather difficult. Hide
