This spacious family getaway promises a relaxing retreat for a group of four in the idyllic Yorkshire village of Summerbridge. With the Yorkshire Dales and the Nidderdale Way on your doorstep, you and your family will thoroughly enjoy an active stay at this stylish converted barn.

Great thought and care have gone into making this holiday home as comfortable and stylish as possible, with neutral tones, exposed original beams, and high-quality furnishings. This combination is perfect for evenings, reclining on the plush sofas in front of the wood burner, while the family snuggles beside you. Rustle up Yorkshire delicacies in the calming Shaker-style kitchen before gathering around the table for nights of laughter and great food. On pleasant days, head out to the patio to sip your fizz while the BBQ scorches away in the background. Up the staircase, you'll find two bedrooms boasting attractive decor and luxurious oak floors. Sleep soundly in the pretty super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom or the flexible super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom. Finishing off this gorgeous home is the modern bathroom, which offers guests the chance to bathe in pure bliss within the sumptuous roll-top bath – a blessing after long, active days. Parking for two cars is provided.

Bring your backpacks and stock up on sarnies and begin the day with an energy-boosting stroll along the Nidderdale Way. Pateley Bridge (3.5 miles) is the home of both the start and end of this 53-mile circular route, so that you can tackle it as you please. Welcoming country pubs and cosy tearooms are here too, if you need a coffee break. Other beauty spots include Brimham Rocks, Gouthwaite Reservoir, and Coldstones Cut, all of which are within a 6-mile radius. Spend a quiet afternoon milling around Harrogate (10.5 miles) before soaking in its famous Turkish baths.

Just spent a fabulous week at Owen Well barn. It had everything you could need. It was so clean and you can tell it is lovingly looked after. It is in a perfect location with plenty of stunning places to visit within 30 minutes of it. Eric and his family couldnt have been more accommodating and were very friendly and helpful. Giving suggestions foRead morer nice pubs etc and anything else we wanted to know. Even Freya the dog was beautiful and very well behaved. Would not hesitate in recommending the barn. An abolute gem! Loved staying here, property is beautifully decorated and superbly clean. Lots of local wildlife right on the doorstep. Hot tub was amazing and the beds were so comfortable. The cottage is equipped to a very high standard with everything you need (and more). It is situated in the countryside, right next to a small wood, and from there, all the area's attractions are easily accessible by car.

A gorgeous barn cottage that truly feels like a home away from home! Its equipped with everything you could need, with thoughtful extras plenty of space for jackets, towels and plastic cups for the hot tub, and a handy kitchen starter pack. We had a lovely stay at Owen Well Barn. It was a beautiful house with everything we could possibly need. The holiday house was in a perfect location for exploring the area. This place is just perfect. Out of the way it provides piece and quiet, but is near enough to Ripon, Harrogate, Pateley Bridge, Skipton etc for places to visit. We had a fantastic stay at Owen well barn. The cottage is stunning. It has been very thoughtfully refurbished, keeping some lovely original features. Everything was spotlessly clean. Very comfy beds. All amenities had been well thought out, and there was everything we could have needed and more. Very welcoming and friendly hosts, who were happy to Read moreshow us some nearby walks which was much appreciated. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax in the evening. Lots of lovely nearby attractions such as Brimham rocks and fountains abbey which are both worth a visit. We enjoyed a delightful three-night stay as two adults and a dog. Our last-minute booking was accommodated with ease, and the hosts were there on arrival to welcome us, share essential information, and make sure we were settled in, while still giving us space to unpack and relax independently. They were more than happy to offer advice on local walkRead mores and amenities, which perfectly complemented the comprehensive welcome pack in the cottage. The property itself was wonderfully appointed and exceptionally comfortable. We wanted for nothing during our stay. Returning to the cottageespecially the hot tubafter long, cold walks was absolute bliss. The location is ideal, with beautiful walks directly from the door to nearby towns such as Pateley Bridge along the River Nidd, as well as Brimham Rocks, local reservoirs, and the wider Yorkshire Dales. Its also just a short distance from Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, and within easy reach of York, making it a perfect base for exploring the areas historic towns and cities. A brilliantly relaxing stay from start to finish. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this cottage to others, and well gladly return ourselves the next time the Dales come calling. Clean, welcoming cottage that was well equipped with thoughtful extras, meant this was a home from home. Just 25 mins from Harrogate meant location was good too. We will definitely visit again.
