For whipping up tasty breakfasts and hearty suppers, the compact kitchen includes a two-ring gas hob, fridge and microwave, and when you’re ready to sit down, there’s a dining table that folds out when needed. A king-size bed is tucked into one corner, with bunk beds hidden behind, all with luxurious, pocket-sprung mattresses. Ample storage is cleverly integrated in the form of full-length wardrobes and wall niches with USB ports. The wet-room-style shower room comes complete with flushing WC and hot-and-cold running water. Sit in the sunshine or under the stars on the private deck, where there’s outdoor seating and a charcoal BBQ. Parking for one car is provided nearby, and you can load and unload right outside.
The pod is located on a scenic, 60-acre site among other pods, lodges and cottages, close to an award-winning farm shop and cafe. Shops, pubs and places to eat can be found in Pickering and Thornton-le-Dale, both just 1 mile away. From the 1930s-themed station at Pickering, you can catch a heritage train to Whitby, 21 miles by car, while the seaside towns of Scarborough and Filey are also within 21 miles. Great days out including Dalby Forest (4.5 miles) for cycling, hiking and zip-line adventures, Flamingo Land (5 miles), and Castle Howard (14 miles).
