Our family loved the location with fabulous July weather. The upstairs accommodation bedrooms & bathrooms were excellent with comfortable beds. Property has much character with much immediate wildlife including Red Squirrels & Owls & a small lake feature. it is peaceful & secluded nearly all of the time, although a forest trail public right of waRead morey does run thru at the rear of the house. There is scope for updating in certain areas & wifi is not in all parts of the house. But for many an acceptable trade for the overall seclusion & unrivalled position off a small no thru road. Surrounding views are stupendous Hide

What a beautiful location, so peaceful and quiet, the views are amazing. The house was just perfect for a group of eight adults to enjoy games around the main table, share food, go for walks and read in the conservatory. The red squirrel sanctuary is within a stone's throw of the cottage and early risers enjoyed watching them feed and posing for Read morethe camera. Whilst wifi and signal was hit and miss at times this was actually welcomed by all, no interruptions and no cheating on games! We visited the Hawes' Cheese factory, the local museum and were lucky in that a craft fair was also on in the local town. A lovely break which ended too soon. Loved the decor and feel of the house, highly recommended. Thank you. Hide
