We have just returned from a lovely week in this lodge. It is beautifully located with fine views from both the garden and front door. The lodge is spacious and we were fortunate enough with the weather to be able to sit outside every day in the garden, which is nicely laid out and secure for our dog to run around freely without fear of her escRead moreaping. The kitchen and bathroom were not as clean as I would have liked, but I do have high standards. I would recommend Foster Beck Lodge for a relaxing, peaceful escape. I am missing the ducks on the pond already. Hide

Excellent lodge, excellent location, it was just the weather that wasn`t excellent. Some nice shops in Pateley Bridge, nice breakfast at the Old Granary.

On first sight cottage lovely even though bit tired in need of update. Even though we took our two dogs (bichons) groomed day before there were signs of other dogs before us. All cooking appliances I used needed to be cleaned thoroughly before we could use them pans frying pans oven trays etc. Left two days earlier because our dogs wouldnt settle.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful lodge. The views and surroundings were stunning and peaceful. The garden felt very safe and our golden retriever was very happy in there. Everything was clean and in great condition. We had a brilliant time and hope to be able to stay here again.

The lodge is in a beautiful location, what a view while doing the washing up! We loved the barbecue hut and made good use of it as 3 out of our 4 days we had good weather.

We stayed here for 5 nights in February and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The lodge is spacious, clean and comfortable. To have a decent sized garden was a bonus too as we have dogs. The covered patio area is handy and there is also a patio area in the garden for when the weather is good. The barbecue hut is amazing - like a tardis because it is so Read moremuch bigger inside than it looks. The views at the back are fantastic and the duck pond at the front is lovely. If you like walking then Pateley Bridge has endless marked walks - long or short. The approach to the lodge is up a steepish track but most cars would manage it ok. The pub at the bottom of the hill was excellent with extremely friendly locals who made us welcome. It was nice to use the log burner but the price of logs locally is quite expensive. We bought some from B&M and took them with us, we only needed to buy one extra bag at the wood yard over the road. We will definitely book this lodge again in the future. Hide

The lodge is charming and really well located. We stayed in August 2025 and the weather was good and enabled us to make the most of the real benefits of this property - the various outdoor spaces. The bistro table on the wooden veranda, the table and chairs in the garden and the "Hobbit House" BBQ in the garden. All with a delightful view over the Read morefields beyond. Easy access to Pately Bridge with good parking and only a couple of minutes walk to the pub ( though we didn't visit it). So, potentially a real find but there were a couple of drawbacks. At the time of our visit a neighbour was undertaking refurbishment works which were noisy - difficult for anyone booking to check whether those works are on going. Might not be a problem for many but we like peace and quiet. On the Saturday we were there the pub outdoor music kicked off at 4pm. Heavy rock band which was incredibly loud. Great if you are up for a night at the pub or a dance in the garden but otherwise......One other point to mention is that there is very little in the way of work top space in the very small kitchen . That would only be an issue for foodies who like to do serious cooking. All in all a bit of an enigma - there was so much to like and maybe that just accentuated the couple of issues ( which might not be problems for others). Hide
