Escape the everyday and head to the Yorkshire Wolds, taking in the fabulous countryside and rolling fields that inspired so many works by the legendary David Hockney. This traditionally styled yet beautifully appointed lodge provides an excellent base for four guests, ideally suited to two couples or a small family in search of adventure and discovery. Enjoy hiking, cycling and sightseeing, beginning in nearby Driffield (4 miles), the 'Capital of the Wolds'.

Set amidst scenic countryside and expansive lawn space, this lodge is a truly rural retreat. At the front of the property, you’ll find a private parking space and decked patio area complete with outdoor furniture, a charcoal BBQ and a fire pit – perfect for enjoying the outdoors in the warmer months. Inside, the open-plan living space combines a kitchen, dining area and lounge into one cosy and inviting setting, ideal for slow mornings and relaxed evenings. Two bedrooms are located just off the main living space: one with a king-size bed, the other a super-king-size with a zip-and-link bed for added flexibility. Each bedroom benefits from its own en-suite bathroom, offering comfort and privacy for all guests.

The area offers a wealth of walking routes, with the Yorkshire Wolds Way standing out as a particular highlight. This scenic trail leads you through gently rolling valleys and wildflower-filled fields, showcasing the best of the surrounding landscape. One of its endpoints is the charming coastal town of Filey (15.5 miles), located on a curve of the Yorkshire coast. Nestled between Scarborough (22 miles) and bustling Bridlington (12 miles), Filey is a classic seaside destination with an uninterrupted expanse of golden sand. Pick up fish and chips from a local shop and enjoy them at Filey Cove while taking in the sights and sounds of the sea.

Excellent service from booking through to our actual arrival & good communication throughout . Lodge was spotless, owner on hand if needed but not not intrusive. We particularly liked the good quality towels and bedding, great to have decent sized towels after a shower or bath. Many thanks for the homemade biscuits, milk, prosecco, toiletries etc mRead moreuch appreciated. Comfy beds, plenty of hot water, good WiFi connection, great outdoor space & facilities, lots of wildlife around the lodges & plenty of peace & quiet. Many Thanks for a great holiday. Highly recommended. Hide

Outstanding accomodation (cabin) in a great setting. The owners have obviously considered how many cabins to have & have got it just right.

Another lovely stay in one of these beautiful lodges! Everything you could wish for in lovely surroundings. This was our third stay in Kesters lodges and hopefully not our last.
