A lovely cottage with everything you would need and a nice location with a great walk off the road beside the river to Sedbergh. We were lucky enough to have great weather so sat outside most of the time but inside was comfortable with plenty seating. We are used to country noises so just a warning that if you are not, the cockerels do like to Read moreannounce morning. We loved it. Hide

We had a wonderful week long stay in Boskins. The cottage itself was immaculately clean, incredibly comfortable, a real home from home. The location is stunning on one side you can enjoy the views of the Howgill Fells & just a short walk away down a field on Sam & Paul's small holding you can enjoy a walk along the river. The owners Sam & Paul are Read moreincredibly welcoming & the welcome pack was a real treat & thoroughly enjoyed! The cottage is also ideally located to explore the Yorkshire Dales & the Lake District, we spent most of the week exploring the Lakes visiting the Cumbrian Heavy Horses, Blackwell Arts & Crafts house, Hill Top, Lowther Castle, Levens Hall & we also enjoyed Ambleside, Coniston Water & Ullswater too! But the real stars of the hoilday were the wonderful animals, it was a real treat to be greeted on our return every afternoon by five wagging tails, the owners five dogs are very friendly & it really makes you feel more at home. The donkeys, Seren, Paddy & Albert are gorgeous! And the chickens were a delight! We are very much hoping to return to this beautiful place & would highly recommend it. Thanks Sam & Paul! Hide

A beautiful barn conversion, everything you need and nothing you don't. One small step to enter and no more inside, perfect for those with mobility issues. Well behaved dogs welcome and a convenient EV charger make this a perfect package. Unfortunately there is a short grass slope to access the fields and river which due to the wet weather made thiRead mores slippy and prevented my wife from enjoying this area. But it didn't stop me and our dog having fun there. All in all an excellent base from which to explore further afield. Thanks Paul and Sam for a very pleasant stay. Hide
