The property is in a great location and we loved Knaresborough. Unfortunately we had a few issues with the properrty which we raised with the owners. None of the issues we raised were dealt with. These included a very hot shower temperature which we struggled to control; a dangerous loose stair carpet tile which we had to remove, patio doors whichRead more don't fit very well so are difficult to close, no Welcome Pack, no instructions on anything and we specifically asked about what to do with rubbish and bin collection days. I would not normally leave such a negative review but some of these things have been mentioned in previous reviews but are not being addressed which is quite disappointing. Hide

Good location, used York Place car park to park the car whilst we were there. Comfortable property. Just a few problems, oven didn't work, the shower was too hot, couldn't get the central heating to work, bathroom door was awkward to shut, and there was a loose mat on the stairs.

The house and location are good but this is offset by a lot of issues. Many of the basics are skimped or missing. Beware of the shower as it can produce scalding water which is difficult to adjust with wet hands. Having brought some of these issues to the owner and holidaycottages we had no response from the the owner during or since our stay. A fantastic cottage, the decoration and standard of equipment was good. The outdoor space was cozy and private. The bed was comfy and the rooms light and airy. The kitchen facilities were good with everything you need. Parking was only a short distance away and easily accessible.
