If you are looking to get away from it all, then this is the place for you! We went to the middle of nowhere, then went a little bit further and found this delightful group of cottages nestled amongst the Yorkshire Dales. The views from one side look out towards Wesleydale the view the other side looks out to the moors. The purpose of our trip was Read moreto step off the world for a few days, which is exactly what we did. The cottages are nestled together we stayed in one of the Small one bedroom cottages, which was utterly perfect for the two of us and our Boxer Dog. The cottage was clean tidy modern and the owner clearly goes to a lot of effort to make it a home from home. From small jars of herbs and spices to locally produced cheese and bread awaiting on our arrival. The communal area. The covey is a great place to meet other holiday makers if you wish that has a pool table, TV and amazing log burner. We also visited the community pub the Foresters Arms which served up lovely wholesome food with a friendly atmosphere. Our visit on the last weekend of October had a whole variety of weather but we were able to go on a number of 5 to 7 mile walks which was great to blow the cobwebs away. The owners have managed to get the right balance between welcoming and being on hand if you need them, but likewise, we didnt see them at all on our visit because we had everything we needed. I cannot recommend this place highly enough if you either want to get away from it all want to visit some of the local sites or get out on the moors and Dales for some lovely walks. We hope to go back one day. Hide

We loved the cottage and our stay. It is finished to a high standard and is so comfortable and cosy and well thought out. The views from the window and stable door are fabulous! An ideal place to stay if you have a dog as there are places to walk right on your doorstep, or perfect for anyone wishing to get away from everything like we did . The ownRead moreers really care for their guests. From the welcome pack with locally sourced items in it to the owners knocking our door during storm Amy to reassure us and provide us with a camping lamp because we experienced a power cut. They are on hand if you need them but otherwise leave their guests to enjoy their stay. This was our first visit to North Yorkshire but it wont be our last! We used the cottage as a base from which to explore the surrounding area. For this it was perfect. The views are just outstanding and the whole area is beautiful! Proper Yorkshire!! We shall be returning in the Summer. Hide

Fantastic cottage and location for walking the dales. Well equipped, clean and warm. Outlook is across Coverdale was spectacular and gave us a much needed break. Would recommend the local community pub - The Foresters, check opening times. Exploring Wensleydale was a delight - not to mention the cheese, Gromit! In our short visit we explored HaRead morewes, Aysgarth falls , Leyburn ( food shopping) and Richmond. Everywhere we went dogs were welcome. Lots more to explore, so we will be back. Hide
