Gaze out across the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast from this gorgeous stone cottage near Ravenscar. Sleeping just two guests, the one-bedroom hideaway enjoys picturesque country and sea views. With a wood burner to cuddle up in front of on chilly days, it also benefits from a beautiful garden where you can soak up the sunshine in the summer months.

Tear yourselves away from the views out towards Robin Hood’s Bay to enter the cosy, semi-detached cottage. Find yourselves in the generous, beamed lounge/diner where you can indulge in a well-earned rest after long walks and exciting days out. Light the wood burner here, then sink back into the soft sofa to enjoy its welcome heat. Find a good film on the Smart TV or chat about your plans for the following day. The country-style kitchen, which looks out over the garden, features everything you will need to help you rustle up delicious dishes for two with the Yorkshire produce you have bought. Set the table for your romantic meal back through in the lounge/diner. There is also a shower room downstairs. Your lovely bedroom, with its king-size bed, vaulted ceiling and beams, is up on the first floor of the retreat. Wake up in here to wonderful views out over the fields. Take coffee out into the charming garden on sunny days and sip it as you savour the scenery. There is off-street parking here for one car.

Walk just over 2 miles from the cottage to picture-postcard Robin Hood’s Bay. Follow the Cleveland Way for 7 miles from here to Whitby. Whitby itself is a colourful place to visit, with its historic quarters and ties to Bram Stoker’s famous gothic novel Dracula. Climb the 199 steps here up to the abbey ruins and spend time on the beautiful beach.

A gem of a find with views to die for in a quiet secluded spot. We had a very comfortable stay in this homely, amd well equipped cottage and enjoyed many walks from the door as well as trips further afield in the car. A lovely welcome pack was very much appreciated as was the plentiful supply of logs for the log burner. We would love to return to eRead morexperience the views and surrounding area in a different season. Hide

A beautifully appointed hideaway cottage with breathtaking views over Robin Hoods Bay. A perfect place to relax and watch the emus in the adjacent field.

Stunning cottage and location! Such a beautiful, spotlessly clean comfortable home. The generous welcome pack was a really unexpected thoughtful touch too. The location and views are just exquisite, really rural and wild. Loved being able to look across the moors and coast to Robins hood bay. I walked right from the front door on the Cleveland waRead morey to Whitby! Incredible stretch of coast line. The cinder track is also on the doorstep, and so many local walks, giving choice of moorland, coastal and a stunning beach close by. Others have mentioned the rough road approaching the cottage. I found it perfectly manages me in a wheelchair accessible vehicle, which has a lowered floor., Its all about slowing the speed tight down, and enjoying the views along the way! It all add to the wonderful remote experience. The wood burner was also a wonderful addition , very much needed with a glass of wine after long blustery walks! Other must sees in the area are Robins hood bay, Runswick bay and Staithes. Gorgeous fishing villages steeped in history. Thankyou Emma and Bill for creating such a tranquil oasis! A week was not long enough! X Hide

We had a thoroughly nice few days at the cottage. We were surprised at the level of equipment and the level of cleaness and would recommend to anyone to holiday there. The views were lovely and it was not far from both Whitby and Scarborough so all in all a lovely few days.

Very comfortable, home from home. We rate this property highly. Stairs to bedroom need to be negotiated carefully. The owners have though paid attention to detail in creating an excellent holiday cottage in a stunning location.

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful area. Great for walkers. Couldn't ask for any better. Just watch your head upstairs. Down a long single track road. We parked on Friday and the car never moved until we left. Wonderful views.
