An impressive, stone-built cottage awaits in the enchanting village of Danby in North Yorkshire. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, this is an ideal breakaway for a family or group of friends, better still, you can bring up to two dogs.

Climb the external steps to this delightful, double-fronted cottage with sweeping valley views. The large kitchen/diner offers a well-appointed space for the designated chef of the group. Once dinner is served, sit at the window seat and drink in the breathtaking valley views. To the rear of the ground floor, you’ll find a handy utility room with a contemporary-styled shower room just off to the side. Settle down in the inviting living room with a charming, beamed ceiling and wood burner providing rustic accents and a welcoming ambience. There’s even a nook under the staircase for your dogs to nestle down for the night. Climb the stairs and find an array of delightfully decorated bedrooms. These rooms include a master king-size with exposed timber beams, a double bedroom and a cosy twin set under the eaves. Serving the bedrooms is a family bathroom with a claw-foot bath, plus another separate shower room. Outdoors, you’ll find a lush lawned garden, a patio area for a spot of al fresco dining, an outdoor dog shower and private parking for one car.

The North York Moors National Park is on your doorstep and offers a whole host of attractions for outdoors enthusiasts. Explore the mesmerising Esk Valley and surrounding moorland. For a traditional day out to the seaside, hop on the local train and travel to the town of Whitby (12 miles).

A wonderful place to explore the North York Moors from, or just to relax in. Such a beautiful and comfortable house. Would definitely do a longer stay next time.

A fantastic home from home with every creature comfort provided. The property is perfect for humans and dogs and the location is spectacular. The kitchen, lounge, bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and well equipped. The front garden is fully secured for dogs and provides a lovely space to sit and enjoy the scenery. A choice of beaches and the Read moresurrounding North Yorkshire Moors are all close to the cottage. We highly recommend! Hide

A perfect base for us to celebrate the marriage of our son at Danby Castle Barn. Beautiful cottage with everything that you would need. Exceptional views over the dale. Close to the village amenities. Highly recommend this cottage.

A lovely cottage perfect location for views. Had thought of everything you could want/need even for our two dogs. Would book again (after I get my knee sorted) enjoyed our stay be it short. Lovely

A very well appointment house in a fabulous location. What a view. First time ever in all our years of staying in self catering holiday homes that the usual car load of extra items were not required! This is far and away the best property I have ever stayed in.Beautifully presented to the highest standard by a couple who clearly live the place and are able to convey that to guests both in their notes and guidance . I cannot wait to get back to its stunning surroundings
