Enjoy walking routes aplenty with your family of four before returning to cosy evenings in front of the wood burner with awe-inspiring views across The Dales.

Soft furnishings, antique-style features and exposed wooden beams make this a tranquil space to unwind before beginning the preparations for dinner. The kitchen/diner is perfect for putting together family favourites and even has a washer/dryer for running through damp walking gear. Enjoy alfresco dining out in the patio courtyard on balmy evenings, while chillier evenings are best spent sharing stomach-warming dishes around the table. Wake up and savour a few quiet moments on the patio with a coffee and a newspaper while soaking in the wonderful Dales views.

The cottage was lovely and the views amazing. However, the details on the website said there was a pub within a mile of the property. In reality there was a rather upmarket hotel very close but any other eating establishment were considerably further than a mile.

Fabulous cottage, so very well equipped with everything you may need and some things you didnt realise you could do Im your life! (I particularly liked the motion sensor night lights that doubled up as torches!) The views were spectacular from every window. Hawes and the fells beyond from the front and to the rear there were sheep with their youRead moreng lambs in the fields and people hang gliding from the hill behind the cottage. It was really peaceful, particularly at night. The famous Butter Tubs road runs past the end of the lane. Our first couple of days were glorious weather and the little terrace at the front was nice to sit out in the sunshine. We then had a full day when it rain constantly and the roads to Hawes flooded but you could still get around albeit a bit of a drive. The roads didnt stay flooded long and made for pretty spectacular waterfalls the following day. The lack of garden for our dog wasnt an issue as there were lots of walks from the doorstep and a convenient little patch of grass for her late night wee so we managed fine. It was lovely to have a bed, bowls and towels provided for her as well as a treat. The area is so lovely we do hope to return soon and would certainly book this cottage again Hide

Very well-equipped and cosy cottage which I cannot fault. Laundry pods, cleaning materials, Fairy liquid, all supplied and this makes life much easier when visiting a holiday home. Loved this cottage - it felt like someones home and not a holiday let. Absolutely fabulous views, and walks from the door.
