A 0.5-mile walk from the centre brings you to the beautiful River Wharfe and tumbling Linton Falls. Other landmark Dales attractions, including Bolton Abbey and Malham Cove, are within 12 miles, while lively Skipton (9 miles) has lots to enjoy. A well-preserved, 900-year-old castle sits at the top of the town, and colourful street markets operate four days a week. Take a boat trip on the historic Leeds to Liverpool canal, which runs through Skipton, or enjoy a peaceful waterside stroll past painted houseboats.
