Beautifully designed and furnished, the stone-built property overlooks the fells and sits midway between two national parks, the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. With a host of walking and cycling trails from the front door, the cottage is perfectly placed for exploring this wonderfully scenic landscape of hills, dales, rivers and streams You’ll find a fine 17th-century pub and shop in the pretty village of Barbon, just two miles away, while bustling Kirkby Lonsdale, a historic market town with shops and excellent eateries, is within 4 miles.

This detached retreat combines comfort with stylish contemporary elegance and glorious rural views throughout. The ground floor houses a spacious, king-size bedroom, with large patio doors opening onto a private terrace. A shower room has a large, walk-in shower and comes complete with his and her sinks. Closed to traffic, this beautiful, three-arched stone bridge across the River Lune dates from the 12th to 13th century and is a perfect spot for picnics and riverside walks. The dog house is amazing and I would recommend it to everyone. To get there you drive up some idillic country lanes lined with hedges, as the road comes to an end you get to a beautiful farm set on a hill side in what appears to be the middle of nowhere. The property is set up a driveway tucked away from the rest of the world. The bedroom is Read morewarm, comfy and has a very well finished bathroom. The upstairs has a well equipped kitchen and everything you would need to live like youre at home. The living room has an easy to use log burner and the view out of the French doors is worth every penny. You can sit out in the hot tub staring across the rolling hills with nobody to overlook.. apart from a few sheep. I genuinely couldnt find anything to improve, the hosts were discreet but attentive when needed. I will definitely return and I highly recommend this gem of a Holliday cottage. Hide
