Home to some fascinating historic sites, the Georgian town of Richmond is to the north (10.5 miles) and the bustling town of Bedale to the south (2.5 miles), known for its weekly market, enticing craft and antique shops and the popular Big Sheep and Little Cow Farm. Nidderdale, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors are all within 15 miles, with local attractions including Jervaulx Abbey, Constable Burton Hall and Gardens, Harmby Waterfall, the ruins of Middleham Castle, and the Forbidden Corner all within 7 miles.
