Just a short distance from the River Tees, this wonderfully secluded property makes a fantastic holiday home for couples, families and friends seeking a tranquil retreat in rural surroundings. Offering relaxing accommodation for up to six guests across three beautiful en-suite bedrooms, the cottage is a wonderful base for anglers, cyclists, nature lovers and walkers discovering the idyllic countryside along the border of North Yorkshire and County Durham. Enjoying far-reaching country views, this charming hideaway lies just outside the quaint village of Neasham and features a welcoming wood burner, a soothing hot tub and a lovely open garden within acres of serene farmland.

Entering this delightful getaway, you will be greeted by a spacious, elegantly arranged open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner making a fantastic space for you all to unwind and socialise. The characterful lounge has a wood burner set in a brick surround, with a Smart TV and comfortable seating. The inviting dining area sits next to the fully equipped country-style kitchen. The cottage also has three relaxing en-suite bedrooms: a stylish ground-floor double with a Smart TV and underfloor heating, with a cosy king-size room and a cheerful double both upstairs. From the main living area, bi-fold doors open onto the sunny patio. Surrounded by glorious farmlands, the peaceful and private garden features a bubbling hot tub and a lovely patio area with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. There’s also ample enclosed parking space for multiple cars.

The River Tees is a brief stroll away, perfect for a spot of fishing. Darlington (6.5 miles) has an array of great cafes, restaurants, pubs and boutique shops, with the popular Hopetown Visitor Centre telling the story of this lively and historic town. Other local attractions include Kiplin Hall, Raby Castle and Rockliffe Hall with its golf course and spa (all within 18 miles).

The cottage is as described & 5star , clean , well equipped & amazing location - its about 2.5 miles off the main road its wonderful !! Apart from the owners house , pheasants, hares, squirrels etc you have found the perfect place to unwind , relax & enjoy !

If you are looking for somewhere that is totally relaxing and comfortable, quiet and peaceful, in a beautiful tranquil setting then Fishermans Cottage is for you. Add in the hot tub and a roaring fire . it was perfect! Our friends and I had a really wonderful weekend. Thank you to the lovely owners too, who made us very welcome

What a fantastic cottage beautifully presented fantastic location with superb views across the field and river. Lovely to watch the tractors working in the fields and meeting our wonderful hosts , Avril and Andrew who went out if their way to ensure we had a great stay, and Meg the dog ! We couldnt fault this cottage or our hosts and the lovely hRead moreot tub a real bonus Would we return yes, absolutely Hide

Fisherman's Cottage was wonderful! Beautiful views and everything catered for. Loved watching all the wildlife and enjoying the peaceful location. Fantastic welcome pack and communication from Avril was always prompt, friendly and helpful. Great base for lots of day trips. Saltburn by the Sea, Beamish and Forbidden Corner were my favourites. The FoRead morex and Hounds pub was lovely too with delicious food and a play area for kids. We had an amazing time. Thank you! Hide

Beautiful cottage in a lovely area. Feels like you are miles from anywhere but all amenities within a 15 minute drive. Best equipped place we have stayed, with hosts Avril and Andrew so welcoming and helpful.
