Staithes is famous for its narrow, cobbled streets, network of ginnels and characterful cottages - and you''ll get an authentic feel for them all from this hidden-away holiday home. Located at the water''s edge it''s pet friendly, comes with allocated parking, and has three bedrooms perfect for a family or small party of friends.

Uncluttered styling complements the period feel of this pretty beck-side cottage. The charming living room, complete with bay window, wood burner and comfortable sofas will be at the centre of your downtime; a Smart TV ensures home-from-home entertainment. Close by, the dining room boasts a similar colour scheme, bold marble table and wicker chairs, making this a cheery spot for mealtimes. The galley-style kitchen continues the coastal feel and contains all the essentials for fuss-free self-catering, while upstairs the palette is muted and calm. The first bedroom here has a beamed ceiling and king-size bed, the second has modern bunk beds perfect for children, and the main bedroom is a striking space with sloped, beamed ceilings, a sleigh bed, and a modern en-suite bathroom. A family bathroom completes the first-floor layout. For a sniff of sea air, step outside to a tranquil, paved area right on the water''s edge - take a seat and enjoy the sound of Staithes Beck as it travels towards the sea.

Explore the traditional fishing village of Staithes at your leisure - there are plenty of pubs, cafes, shops, galleries and a fish smokehouse to enjoy, plus boat trips to Whitby,10 miles down the coast. Just 9 miles in the opposite direction, Saltburn-by-the-Sea is home to the oldest water-balanced cliff lift still in operation in Britain, which links its pier - the most-northerly surviving British iron pier - and lower promenade to the upper promenade and town. If you love to walk, the Cleveland Way runs all along this coastline before heading across the North York Moors National Park to Helmsley.

A beautiful cottage in an ideal location if only it was maintained to a better standard. The outside areas were in need of a good clean. The bedlinen was very clean but upon stripping beds as required when we were leaving, both beds didnt have mattress covers on and one duvet was dirty with blood on it. New flooring required up the stairs andRead more in the first bathroom. The car parking was very small and our car ended up covered in seagull poo. We loved the location and the parking was a godsend, this cottage could be so beautiful with a bit of time and effort. A real shame. Will not be returning Hide

Stay away until the dilapidated areas are replaced and check all is clean, inside and out. Welcome pack bare minimum. Such a shame as pitched as 5 star

We enjoyed our stay at Gulls Nest. It was well situated with lovely views and outside space to sit and enjoy. Cottage was comfortable and roomy and a nice Welcome Pack provided. We found shortage of mugs, small tumblers and bowls a bit annoying, but generally a lovely place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gulls Haven! The location was excellent. Having a parking space provided was a major positive, as we have visited several properties in Staithes previously and know that this is very rare. The back terrace was lovely and the views across the beck were great from the bedrooms/while we were eating or relaxing downstairs.Read more Beds were comfy and shower was good (we didnt use the upstairs bath, but it was good to see that it did come with a shower hose attachment). Kitchen was very well equipped and the dishwasher was very welcome! The hob was easy to use and there was plenty of room in the fridge and freezer for our needs. Fabulous walks, as always, along the Cleveland way straight from the door. Plenty of good places for ice cream/snacks/cakes in the village. A favourite of ours is the butcher in Hinderwell, plus the Sunday School tearooms there (though do check the opening hours!). This year was our 10th visit to Staithes because we just love the vibe of the village and the array of walks available in the local area. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family. Hide
