Arncliffe View is a lovley cottage in a fantastic location. There are beautiful views and a couple of great pubs very close by. The welcome pack was much appreciared. If you are planning to do much self-catering I would recommend taking oven gloves, a cheese grater and a bread board as the provision of kitchen equipment is slightly random. The shRead moreowers were pretty good for an older property and the first floor bedrooms (excluding the bunk bed one) and bathroom were very spacious. Be aware that there are no window coverings in the attic bedroom. We quite liked the fact that you could see straight out over the fields but if youre a light sleeper you might need an eye mask if you want to sleep past 4.30am. Hide

This is a lovely cottage in a lovely location. The kitchen could be better equipped and maybe with instruction manuals for the cooker and underfloor heating but otherwise it was very comfortable. We enjoyed some lovely walks making use of the local train (though it is important to check the timetable as the trains are very infrequent) and enjoyed Read moreday trips to Whitby, Scarborough and Staithes. The pub across the road was a great place for a cheeky pint or a lovely meal. Hide

A good cottage could be a brilliant cottage with some minor improvements

Arncliffe View at Egton was in a perfect location with two pubs directly opposite, serving food. Easy to drive to Whitby and Scarborough. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with big beds to really stretch out in. The two bathrooms were also a welcome addition. Social areas (lounge and dining room) were also large with ample seating for 6 peoplRead moree. Beautiful fenced courtyard and garden were perfect for my 8 month old puppy to run around in. Surrounding area was lovely, with great views of the Yorkshire moors from the cottage windows. The kitchen would have benefited from more equipment, however we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Hide

If you want a property that is poorly equipped, poorly cleaned and maintained then this is the property for you. The white sofa is badly stained, the outside table is broken and only 4 chairs available. However the property is in a beautiful location with a fantastic pub opposite, its a shame the house has not been given some care and attention.
