Enjoy sweeping sea views and the sounds of Scarborough''s Open Air Theatre from the comfort of this two-bedroom, top-floor apartment. With North Bay only half a mile away and pretty Peasholm Park on the doorstep, it''s an ideal base for a family or friends'' break in Britain''s first seaside resort.

Rich in history and wildlife, Peasholm Park provides a peaceful contrast to the busier attractions of Scarborough and, less than 200 metres from its edge, this striking apartment echoes that sense of tranquillity and space. Step through the doors and on your right, there''s an open-plan kitchen and lounge with jaw-dropping views from its Juliet balcony and dual-aspect windows. Along one side, the sleek kitchen has all you''ll need for effortless self-catering, and close by the dining table is perfectly positioned before the balcony doors so you can enjoy panoramic vistas as you eat. Afterwards, stretch out in the lounge area where a Smart TV will provide home-from-home entertainment. Off the hallway are two bedrooms - the master double features balcony doors so you can awaken to the sun rising over the sea. The second is a tastefully decorated twin room, and completing the apartment is a family bathroom.

Stroll to Peasholm Park, an oriental-themed municipal park with beautiful streams and waterfalls, mini bridges, mystical gardens and attractions for the whole family to enjoy. A little further on, the long, sandy beach at North Bay is popular with bathers, families, and water sports enthusiasts, with brightly coloured beach huts behind the esplanade and the picturesque ruins of 11th-century Scarborough Castle on a rocky promontory to one end. Half a mile from your holiday home, the town''s Open Air Theatre hosts some of the music industry''s biggest stars - you may hear their performances from the balcony!
