This property is outstanding, both in location and in thoughtful amenities. The gorgeous hub of Malham is a short walk up a trail to the north, where you have a choice of wonderful pubs and restaurants and easy access to the classic hikes to Janet's Foss and Malham cove. We were also made to feel most welcome at the Victoria Inn for a casual dinnerRead more and drink, and stocked up on high-quality produce for a meal in at the Town End Farm shop, all easily walkable to the south. The property itself was extremely well-equipped and very comfortable. We really appreciated having a washer / dryer as we went through our clean clothes more quickly after hiking in the heat! Everything was impeccably clean and easy to use. We felt immediately at home when we arrived and were sad to leave! Hide

The cottage is located in a central location of many walks and things to see. Did not need the car to go out. Location is in a beautiful surrounding. The cottage itselve was perfect, but in our opinion we think that the Aga stove is too much for a small house and a practical stove would be much practical to use.

Fabulous location. Easy walking distance to some of the most amazing walks or a short drive to beautiful towns and villages. The aga was a godsend. The cottage is very comfortable and roomy. Well kitted out. Parking right outside too.

Fountains Cottage sits down a dead end single track lane in a narrow valley next to a stream. It's part of a former mill so the building is old. But boy is it quiet, peaceful and serene. The location is great as you can walk into the village of Kirkby Malham, walk to the "larger" Malham or pop in the car and visit other spots in the Dales such as GRead morerassington. The cottage itself has a well stocked kitchen...although I didn't attempt to use the AGA. The sitting area is comfy with a couple of throw blankets to snuggle under. Bedrooms are good sized with comfy beds and bedding. The shower was one of my favorite features. I'm a fan of large shower only showers. I do think the cottage could use a little sprucing up (fresh paint maybe some new carpet) but all in all, it was a great stay. Hide
