Immerse yourself in the Yorkshire Dales with a stay in the Wensleydale village of Hawes, a picturesque destination with walks in every direction. Located just off Hawes High Street yet with seemingly endless fields and grazing livestock around it, the cottage offers a perfect blend of countryside scenery surroundings and amenities including pubs, shops and restaurants just a short walk away. It’s a place for six guests to escape to, perfect for any group of family or friends, and is dog-friendly for those seeking a relaxing getaway filled with endless walks and outdoor excursions. Walk along the famed Pennine Way (0.5 miles) and admire Hardraw Force (1.5 miles) and Cotter Force (2 miles) within easy reach.

Offering eclectic rooms filled with old English charm, this cottage has been lovingly laid out with stone-flagged flooring, exposed stone walls and soft textured accents throughout. At the heart of the house, a kitchen/diner with a farmhouse-style dining table at its centre invites life to move around it. Separate snug and lounge spaces can also be found on this floor for nights of relaxation, with a wood burner in one and an open fire in the other. Notice a ground-floor WC on your way upstairs to three bedrooms and a full-size family bathroom. At the back of the house, the garden is a spot to sit and admire the scenery, furnished and enclosed for your alfresco evenings.

Known for its main export, Wensleydale Cheese, Hawes is home to the famous Wensleydale Creamery, less than half a mile away and offering regular tours. The Dales Countryside Museum is also here (0.5 miles) for finding out heaps more about the local area. On the outskirts of the village, Great Shunner Fell (3.5 miles) is a must for keen walkers, as is Buttertubs Pass (5 miles) offering incredible valley views.
