Violet's Cottage was perfect. The house was as advertised and and everything worked. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels and bed-linen, if we needed them ( we didn't). The place was spotlessly clean , well equipped and the heating worked well. We've stayed in many such cottages over the years and this was one of, if nRead moreot the best We've had the pleasure to stay in. I must mention too that the welcome pack was much appreciated. Highly recommended. Hide

We needed a place to stay near Richmond in North Yorkshire for one week. This cottage was ideal as it is situated close to the A1M and the A66 making access to the Yorkshire Dales, Yorkshire Moors,Teesdale and the Lae District very easy. Melsonby is a pleasant village to stay and the cottage is just right for a pleasant and peaceful stay.
