There are some beautiful countryside tracks and trails to explore in the area, and there’s a friendly village pub for refreshments after a long walk. For shopping and eating out, the historic market towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle are within 15 miles. In the evenings, snuggle in front of the roaring wood burner with a glass of wine.

The semi-detached, stone cottage is warm and inviting, with a plethora of creature comforts and homely touches. The cosy lounge is a lovely place to relax after a day of sightseeing, with a sumptuous leather sofa to sink into to watch the SkyTV and a warming wood burner for chilly evenings. From here, head through to the colourful kitchen/diner to prepare tasty feasts to share at the cute dining table. A handy utility room completes the ground floor. Upstairs, discover two inviting bedrooms – a king-size and a small double – both stylishly decorated and furnished. A contemporary bathroom rounds off the first floor. Outside, enjoy a morning coffee in the shared courtyard garden.

The Georgian town of Richmond is 5.5 miles away and has a fabulous array of independent shops and eateries gathered around its cobbled marketplace.
